MY MISSION

"Solve Golf's BIG PROBLEM!"

Golf has a huge problem – and it desperately needs fixing.

The average golf score stands at 95. It’s been that way since the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids.

We have access to superior technology - the longest hitting, most forgiving clubs.

Precise launch monitors that measure your shots within the tenth of a yard.

Mental coaches who can get you in a peak performance “flow state” and keep you there for 18 holes.

New drivers are designed to easily crank one 300 yards.

We have access to equipment so good that it would make Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan blush.

With all this amazing technology the average golf score should be 82… yet it still stands at 95.

Why?

Because, in the whole history of golf, everything has evolved except for one thing…

“Traditional Golf Instruction”

Golfers have been learning the “same old things” since the beginning of time. And they’re shooting the same old scores they’ve been shooting – namely, “95”.

My golf swing journey began with those “same old things”. Your local pro probably teaches the “same old things”. And I’m willing to bet you got your start on those “same old things”.

Those “same old things” result in the average golf score being “95”. It’s a statistical certainty.

Some golfers try to beat the system by working harder, hitting more balls, and getting more lessons… and they still shoot “95”.

The problem is not your ‘work ethic’ or ‘talent’, it’s the information you’re working with.

It’s the “same old things”.

If you put ‘garbage in’, you get ‘garbage out’. Unfortunately, we’ve been fed the same garbage for so long that we’ve forgotten what steak tastes like.

You will find these “same old things” taught in nearly every golf magazine article, YouTube video, and “legendary” golf book. Because of this, the deck has been unfairly stacked against golfers for a long time.

It’s like some psy-opic from the movie 1984. You can do anything you want, just “don’t go against the machine”.

Try something different from the norm and they’ll say “How dare you challenge THE established methods. You should be ashamed of yourself! Now buy another 10-lesson package from us.”

This barrier makes it nearly impossible for golfers to break through the desert of “Traditional Golf Instruction” methods and move into the land of milk and honey. To date, I estimate 99.9% of golfers got their start learning the traditional swing from the golfing establishment.

You go to a lesson, and you’re going to hear the “same old things” like:

“Take the club straight back…”

“Lift your arms…”

“Keep your trail knee flexed in the backswing…”

“Build a powerful ‘coil’ to create speed…”

“Shift your weight for power…”

“Fire your hips to start down…”

“Release your hands after impact…”

Perhaps you heard one of those things in a recent lesson and now you’re searching for new tips online today.

If you’ve done any of those things in your swing, you’re a product of “Traditional Golf Instruction”. A product of the “95” shooting golf establishment.

To examine how deeply the machine has formed you, see if you check any of these boxes…

If your first golf lesson involved “teaching you the fundamentals” of grip, stance, posture, alignment, and ball position…

You’re a product of “Traditional Golf Instruction”.

If you’ve tried “every ‘top tip’ in the book” and spent $1000s of dollars on range balls and lessons only to get nowhere…You’re a product of “Traditional Golf Instruction”.

If your golf game is the same as it was 5… 10… 15… years ago, you’re a product of “Traditional Golf Instruction”.

If you think that with all the time you’ve invested working on your golf swing, you should be way better than you currently are… you’re a product of “Traditional Golf Instruction”.

After struggling for so long, battling years of bad habits, many golfers retreat to a life of quiet desperation. They accept their fate as a “forever high handicapper”. (I don’t blame them)

They try to convince themselves that life inside the “comfortable 95 shooting biome” isn’t so bad. If you don’t believe me, you should hear the self-talk I get from my first time students:

“You’re my last hope…”

“I’m going to sell all my clubs if your lesson doesn’t help me…”

“I’ve got 30 years of bad habits. I’m too old to fix this…”

Oftentimes, my lessons feel more like a psychiatric session than a golf lesson.
